Since May this year, Motorola had continued to demonstrate our leadership in TD-LTE at the World Expo in Shanghai, providing the primary in-door coverage for CMCC, covering 7 of the major pavilions while providing backup networks to a number of competitors.

It is estimated that over 52 million people have visited the Expo since its May opening. At the Expo Motorola’s TD-LTE network has been one of the major highlights for CMCC, with live demonstrations to government officials, customers, potential customers, press and analysts from around the globe. Motorola’s TD-LTE demonstration was also a feature for the NGMN guests at the Expo in June.

Motorola has also demonstrated its commitment and drive to the development and commercialization of TD-LTE by enabling and building and end-to-end ecosystem. Since the launch of the Expo Motorola has been able to test and validate three TD-LTE device chipsets from Innofidei, Sequans and just recently Qualcomm, all demonstrating the global momentum behind TD-LTE.

As the end of the Expo nears, Motorola is ramping up to head to 4G World in Chicago, but we will continue to providing further updates and recap of the success we have achieved throughout the Expo, and invite you to share your thoughts and experiences from the Expo on our 4G Blog.
